Smart Haul TMS / Platform

Everything the office touches, in one system.

Smart Haul wasn't assembled from acquisitions. Every module writes to the same load, the same carrier and the same ledger — which is why nothing here needs a nightly import to agree with itself.

What's included

Twelve modules. One monthly bill.

Most shops pay four vendors to do this: a TMS, a phone system, an accounting bridge and a routing tool. Smart Haul is one subscription and one support number.

Dispatch board

Live load lifecycle, drag-to-assign, check calls and lane history.

Toll-aware routing

Cheapest, fastest and toll-free options priced for a 5-axle unit.

VoIP phone system

Extensions, click-to-dial, recording and voicemail on your own numbers.

Connected email

Gmail or Outlook threads filed automatically against the load.

Invoicing & AR

Dispatch fees, broker invoices, aging, factoring and payment matching.

QuickBooks sync

Invoices, bills, payments and customers pushed to QuickBooks Online.

Document capture

Rate cons, BOLs, PODs and invoices read and filed automatically.

Safety & compliance

DQ files, medical cards, insurance and inspections with expiry alerts.

Carrier portal

Self-service loads, documents, settlements and fleet records.

Driver app

iOS and Android: status, check calls, photo documents, pay history.

Sales CRM

Eight-stage pipeline for signing carriers, with call and text history.

IFTA & fuel

State miles, fuel receipts and a quarter-ready fuel-tax report.

Who runs on it

Two businesses, one system.

Smart Haul TMS ships with both sides of the freight relationship already modelled: the agency that books the freight and bills a percentage, and the carrier that hauls it and has to pay drivers, file IFTA and keep DOT files clean.

Track A

Third-party dispatch agencies

  • Percentage billing that actually works. Set a fee percent per carrier, and the dispatch invoice writes itself off the rate confirmation.
  • Two invoice flows, not one. Bill your carrier for the service, and bill the broker on the carrier's behalf — separate ledgers, separate aging.
  • A carrier portal you can put your name on. Your carriers log in to see loads, documents, settlements and their own compliance file.
  • Built-in sales CRM. An eight-stage pipeline for signing new carriers, with call and text history attached to the record.
  • Staff chat and texting. Dispatchers, night shift and after-hours all in one thread — no personal phone numbers involved.
Track B

Carriers & fleet owners

  • Loads to settlements without re-typing. Rate con in, POD out, driver pay and invoice calculated from the same record.
  • Driver pay any way you run it. Per-mile, percentage, flat, or hourly — plus advances, escrow, reimbursements and deductions.
  • IFTA that isn't a spreadsheet weekend. Miles by state and fuel receipts roll into a quarter-ready report.
  • Safety and maintenance on the same truck record. DQ files, medical cards, annual inspections, PM schedules and expiring documents.
  • A driver app your drivers will actually open. Check calls, status updates and photo document upload from the cab.

Under the hood

Boring where it should be boring.

Freight software fails in unglamorous ways: someone deletes a load, a server dies on a Friday, an ex-dispatcher still has a login. Here is what's underneath.

Next step

Bring one messy week and we'll run it on the board.

Twenty minutes, your real loads, your real fee structure. If it doesn't obviously beat what you're doing now, we'll say so and you've lost twenty minutes.
